The hostel itself is located in a striking rambling building which was built in 1740 originally the 'County Club' for the Lords and Gentry of the County. In the 1900's it was the Club House Hotel. Extensively renewed in 1989,it has 20 rooms and can comfortably accommodate up to 100 people. It is one of the most luxurious hostels in the country and is steeped in history and oldworld charm. With the River Fergus flowing gracefully past the hostel it is the ideal setting for the many traditional Irish music se ions hosted here.
