The property is perfectly located for year round recreation and unwindation. situated within 5 miles of the Rumney Crag climbing, and within 10 miles of tenney Mt. ski vicinity, D Acres visitors can hike, bike, snow shoe and cro -country ski for miles out the back door. This homestead provides services such as food, lodging and showers. Organic vegetarian food is as well offered. D Acres is a working farm where visitors can tour and learn about the daily things to do of the farm. visitors have the choice of sleeping in indoor accommodations or camping outdoors. We hire snowshoes and will guide forest walks and outdoor sightseeing tours. For the safety and sanity of flora, fauna, and farm animals, no pets are allowed! We provide a shuttle service from the bus and Amtrak rail stations in White river Junction, VT ($20 one way) and a bus service to Plymouth, New Hampsrent ($15 one way). The following is a description of each room listed. Please read carefully to determine which room meets your needs: twin personal: The 'Green Room' (A personal room in the Community Building with a double bed). 3 bed personal: The 'Dorm Room' (A personal room in Community Building with 3 single beds - 2 on the first floor and one in the loft above). 6 bed mixed dorm: The 'Yoga Room' (carpeted room in the Community Building, very nice, but no beds, plenty of room for sleeping bags. Can accommodate large groups (up to 12 people) of folks that want to sleep indoors). Note: the Community Building is a new state of the art building that serves as visitor accommodations, community kitchen, cla room, plant nursery, craft studio, library and woodshop. The bed rooms in this building are quite relaxing. visitors share a separate bathroom with choice of shower or bath and composting toilet / wcs. Don't worry - we'll show you how they work! Allergic to cats? We have a cat named Willie that comes in and out of the Community Building at will, making it an unsafe place for allergic folks. sorry!
