Here, you will find tourism at its most unimposing, where hotel and farm life combine to provide stimulation and unwindation for a person's whole being. Horseriding: Getting to know a new friend. Under profe ional supervision, new riders get acquainted with the finer points of being in the saddle. In the estate's own ring from the first day, they gain confidence in themselves and in their horse which they each clean, bridle and saddle privately. A first outing in a little group soon follows the getting-ready stage. Sorties are programmed daily keeping to unpaved trails or bridlepaths. Thus, the rider acquires the sure horsemanship. This roaming in the countryside is an exceptional experience. Over and above the expertise acquired, a week's apphireiceship with 15 hours in the saddle engenders an intense feeling of freedom. The broad acres of the Domaine de Frai e lie in the Aude 'département', just 13 km south of the famous 'Cité de Carca onne'. The estate land covers more than 250 acres, with coppiced woodland pungent with aromas, fields, meadowland and vineyards surrounded near gentle hills. Together, they form a superb setting for the horse-riding life that has pride of place on the estate. It is a place of rugged splendour, of unwindation and explorey. Altogether, you might say, a place of 'savoir vivre' - life as it should be, committed to active pleasures. Price for riding week: Euro 200.--, for the hour: Euro 16.-- Our three centuries old manor house offers cosy, relaxing accommodation. You can choose between several apartments, simply furnished and with terrace, shower/toilet, or bed rooms with shared bathrooms for visitors on a more modest budget. We as well have a dorm that sleeps 8 persons. For the dorm 'les Aigles' please carry your sleeping bag (add Euro 5.-- for optional sheet service). Cuisine: Rich and, need it be said, regional All the Domaine de Frai e, the finest palate will enjoy the wide range of food accompanied near the smooth local wine. Provided notice is given, we as well cater for vegetarian and special diets. The cost for our meal service is Euro 16.-- all included. Breakfast buffet is offered for only Euro 5.-- per person. You can unwind in the library, around the fireplace in the lounge or in the clubhouse which offers panoramic views of the Domaine and further afield. All this is before you have your aperitif in our groundss and taste our cuisine.....
