Saba Island
EL MOMO peace • natural world • silence Nestled high up on a green, caribbean mountain the place to 'free your mind' awaits. natural world lovers who enjoy pricele facilities like tropical flowers, palm trees, hammocks looking over a deep blue sea and warm warmth will find El Momo to be the ideal retreat. Aset of stairs leads to seven little wooden cottages each surrounded near tropical groundss. The airy one-room-Cottages' are built of warm wood, decorated with original artwork, offer outstanding ocean views from their terraces and provide a personal ambience. No safes or keys are nece ary, because crime simply does not exist. El Momo is little, individual, earth-kind, quiet, very delightful and a little 'Robinson Crusoe like' with plenty of unspoiled natural world. A little piece of bliss where time moves slow and attention is paid to details. Experience the busy hummingbirds as they fly from flower to flower, the little black dotted Saban lizard puffing its yellow chest, or the whisling tree frogs in the star-filled night. In addition to the breathtaking sea views enjoy amazing ocean sunsets from October to March. An eco-welcoming philosophy complements the striking natural surroundings and keeps tourist’s footsteps little. The hotel is a tranquil heaven where a maximum of 14 visitors rest and enjoy natural world at its best. Saba is an outstanding bliss for naturlovers, divers, hikers, artists and people who just like a safe place to unwind. No pre ure and far away from the mad rush of the 'normal world'. Saba’s pitouresque houses are mostly original historic architecture and the people are really welcoming. Saba has not much night life, no big resorts, no casinos, no big cruise ships, no sandy beach / seaes (that's why no ma tourism), no fast food chaines, but magnificent individual marine life and outstanding rain forest. This island is a rough and steep splendour. You will feel like sitting in a time machine and driving back many years.... The welcoming owners Angelika and Oliver Hartleib are your hosts who take time to provide background info and give tips concerning things to do and dining. They are fluent in English, German, Italian and even some Spanish and French. As active hikers and divers themselves (both have worked as dive instructors), they are pleased to offer advice as well as arrange a special dive package that suits you.
