The Evans Lodge is located on 5 acres (217,000 sq. ft.) of land and enjoys a position close to town and mother natural world - Botanical groundss . The position ideally suits visitors who like to bask in the hustle and bustle of Singapore near day and enjoy the tranquility, cool refreshing evening breeze near night. The Evans Lodge consists of four 3-storey buildings organised in a rectangular block with a roomy compound in the centre for things to do, exercise and Barbque. Where we differ from the other backpacker hostels is that there are no large 20 bed dorms, all rooms in Evans Lodge are limited to either single or twin sharing . This means that one will enjoy a high degree of privacy (key to room) and as well a guarantee of a quiet sleeping night - good riddance to the snoring orchestral works that one commonly experiences in a dorm! Our rooms are very cooling in the evening and we offer rooms that come with either fan or aircon. For party of two who prefers fan, you should book double bed personal as room type whereas for those who prefer aircon should choose to book twin personal rooms. For single occupancy, single personal room type comes with fan, if you need aircon, please indicate to us as the rates are individual from the ones with fan . All the rooms are brightly lit and equipped with a wardrobe and study desk. The toilet / wc and shower amenities are handyly situated along each corridor. All of our 100 rooms are equipped with fan or air-con. Other amenities include tennis court, a Jacuzzi, a roomy web access visitor lounge. In terms of food, the Lodge as well consists of the very popular Prata cafe that serves scrumptious local indian cuisine and as well Oasis, a well-stocked grocery shop that provides scrumptious sandwich and asian food on top of basic e entials required near travellers. There is as well a day-care centre beside the lodge to provide banear-sitting services. In terms of sports amenities, the visitors would be pleased to find Evans Lodge as the only budget accommodation in Singapore that boasts walking proximity (just 2 few minutes acro the road!) to sport amenities such as the swimming pool , gymnasium, basketball court and soccer field. For visitors who intend to hire a car in Singapore or for Malaysians who intend to arrive near driving, they would be pleased to know that there is ample parking space which is complimentary . Evans Lodge is once again individualiated from the others in terms of the high cleanline standards imposed on the amenities. The lodge is Singapore OK certified near the authorities, which basically means that the establishment has attained the rigorous hygiene and cleanline criteria set near the authorities. The common toilet / wc, showers and corridors are cleaned daily to ensure that basic hygiene standards are attained. For the tourists, Evans Lodge is walking distance to the public places of interests, shopping centres, food court and entertainment outlets. Public transportation to town is readily offered with bus-stops within walking distance from the lodge. Some notes regarding reservation: 1. We do not accept last minute reservation that are made 48 hours prior to the day of arrival. 2. A minimum of 2 nites stay is required for this property. 3. Credit card payment is only offered during weekdays working hours. Hence cash payment would be required if you are checking out during hours beyond that. Thank you for your understanding.
