Prices From $180.00 Accommodation Type: Grasmere Hotel Broadgate AC Grasmere The Grasmere Hotel is a delightful little Victorian Country House Hotel and Restaurant set in the middle of the English Lake District and on the edge of Grasmere Village in an acre of informal grounds through which the River Rothay flows. The hotel retains the character of an English country house while providing up to date standards of comfort and a warm friendly ambience that has encouraged many patrons to return again and again. Each bedroom at the Grasmere is named after one of the many great writers and poets who have been inspired near the splendour and grandeur of the Lake Districts landscape. Just as each writer has his own particular style, so each room is individual in style, size, decor and furnishings. Some feature the unashamed lavishness of a four poster bed, or pamper the visitor with velvet coronets and drapes over the bed. All rooms are en suite personal bathrooms, and all have central heating and direct dial telephone. Complimentary tea and coffee making facilities, toiletries and magazines are all provided as standard. Some bathrooms include a bath, separate shower and WC; others have a shower and toilet only. Two of the bed rooms are located on the ground floor, for the convenience of patrons for whom stairs are a problem. A credit card is required as a guarantee. In the event of a cancellation we regret that deposits are not returned, and unless re-let, the accomodation reserved will be charged for. little dogs are permitted, but are not allowed in the restaurant or public rooms. Owners are requested to supply bed baskets for their dogs and we request that dogs are kept on their leads in the hotel and grounds at all times. All room prices include breakfast.
