Indy’s Backpackers at Bondi beach / sea prides itself on being the most social backpackers in the vicinity. We are situated just off the beach / sea at World famous Bondi beach / sea and have been operating since 1995. Hostel Features: The basics: We provide a fully equipped kitchen with no deposits on kitchen items, a fully equipped surround sound, cinema screen, air conditioned Television room with literally hundreds of films on DVD and video to watch, a laundry service, all linen plus warm doonas provided, security for you and your backpacks with CCTelevision plus a safe you can deposit your valuables for free, luggage storage and last but not least brand spanking new Broadband super fast web access acce . The free stuff: Body boards, fins, body surfing paddles, roller blades, snorkels and masks, fishing rods, Nintendo, table tennis, beach / sea volleyball, soccer, rugnear, tennis, baseball and basket ball gear, tea, coffee and breakfast, travel desk, Employment service, DVD and video nights and last but not least welcoming, helpful staff. little charges: A surfboard, a wetsuit or a rash vests and of course a leash from free to sevens buck per day depending on season and web access acce from $2 per hour, I thinks that it, we don’t charge for much. Entertainment: we want you to be busy and having fun all the time at minimal cost so we organise heaps for you to do (if you wish to take part, that is). Mondays: pool comp in a local bar with happy hour on most of the night, it's $2 to enter and prizes exceed $50 cash plus some goodies too. Tuesdays: a choice of discount night at the local cinema multiplex, local bands playing at beach / sea front Bondi beach / sea Hotel or Movie night with FREE popcorn here at Indy's Backpackers. Wednesdays: Wine and nachos provided as the start to a big night out at the very popular beach / sea Road Hotel follwed near the Bondi Hotel (warning; can get me y!). Thursdays: the die hards go to the Coogee beach / sea Palace at neighbouring Coogee beach / sea or for the hungover we have a movie night with FREE popcorn here at Indy's Backpackers. Fridays: we try and get a pub crawl togther either here in Bondi beach / sea, over to Coogee beach / sea or to nearbynear & very trendy Paddington. Saturdays: heaps of clubs in Sydney town have offers on so we group up, dre up and head out. Sundays: unwind and have another movie night with FREE popcorn here at Indy's or we hit the Coogee beach / sea Palace again for cocktail night, it starts and finsihes early but wow! what great drinks and great fun in the sun. Our welcoming office staff can arrange employment for you, tours and travel (see info below on How To Stay For FREE!) from our travel desk, help in getting started in Australia such as tax file numbers, Medicare cards and bank accounts. We can as well help with agencies listings, faxing, photocopying, mobile telephones, VIP cards, Airport shuttles, public transport info, cheapest web access in town and heaps more too. For those sporty types we have a range of surfboards, body boards, fins, wetsuits and rash vests to suit any body and any water temperature. Combine all of the above with heaps of sunshine, some drinks in our beach / seafront bars, some nude swimming and I think we have summed up Bondi beach / sea, it simply has to be lived as a visit is never enough. We received a great write up in the Lonely Planet. They said, 'that with a unwinded easy going vibe, this is probably the best backpacking option in Bondi' How good is that!!! We have a winter promo this year which is FREE surfboards with wetsuits every day from 8am to 11am. Get up early when Bondi beach / sea is quiet and fresh and surf our awesome waves every day for 3 hours Our swimming pool is called the Tasman sea, its not heated but its never that cold and it stretches all the way to the states. No other hostel offers this!! |
