Lavik Fjord Hotel
No. 6947
Lavik
The snug and family-run hotel is situated on the Sognefjord sea front and offers striking nearbys with amazing view of the fjord. Due to it’s position on the coastalal highway E39, it is easy to reach from Bergen near bus or car within approx. 2 hours. But even more exiting than traveling near road is the two-hour trip with the expre boat from the center of Bergen to Lavik. This trip takes you through narrow waters among striking islands and skerries into the Sognefjord all the way to Lavik’s ferry quay where the hotel is situated. We have 4 double rooms with personal bathroom and tv, 6 double rooms with tv, shower and toilet / wc on the corridor, and 5 single rooms with shower and toilet / wc on the corridor. There is a restaurant with special-priced daily menu, breakfast buffet, and packed lunch is offered. Enjoy the bar and terrace with views over the Sognefjord. Laundry amenities are offered and credit cards accepted. Lavik is a ideal starting point for day-trips near boat and/or car to the big highlights of the Sognefjord ; to Fl m and the picturesque Fl m-railway, to Balestrand, the Fj rland Fjord , the Jostedal Glacier and the Norwegian Glacier museum, and to N r yfjorden, an arm of the Sognefjord and world’s narrowest fjord. Experience the charm of the outer Sognefjord, alive with adventures big and little! You can fish, swim, row, sail, paddle, cycle, or go rock climbing and mountain walking. For mountain walking, Lihesten is one of the most prominent mountains on the coastal. There are several marked routes to the peak, over 714 meters above sea level with views both straight out to the open sea and inwards over the fjords. The Trondheim post road, the historic mail route between Bergen and Trondheim, is an experience for the walker or off-road cyclist. At St lsheimen, the vicinity best known for its mountain farms and lakes, you can take a boat trip to Solund, or rent a boat and go sea fishing. At the hotel, we rent out bikes, or you can go scuba-diving in Hyllestad. Visit the wildlife museum in Oppedal, or Millstone Park, where you will find natural world trails that visualize the historic history.
