The Moika Canal is famous for its striking architecture and elegant houses and palaces. Alexander Pushkin lived a few doors down and his house is now a museum that you may visit. The apartment is as well right nearby the Neva Embankment and is a ideal starting point for walks along the river or throughout the historical section of St. Petersburg. The apartment comes with everything nece ary to make your trip to St. Petersburg memorable. This part of the historical centre of the town is known as the Golden Triangle. In Tsarist times, the mainity of nobility lived in this vicinity in palaces – most of which still exist today. Nevsky Prospect, the main thoroughfare of St. Petersburg is a short walking distance. The Neva Embankment with its magnificent views of the town islands is as well not far. If you have the opportunity, stroll along the embankment or along any of St. Petersburg s famous rivers and canals – Moika, Canal Griboyedovna, Fontanka to experience the full splendour of the town. Other sites nearbynear are the Palace Square, the Hermitage Museum, the Ru ian Museum, the Field of Mars, Summer groundss, Savior on the Blood Cathedral, Kazansky Cathedral, Dom Knigy (the House of books situated in a splendid building). There are as well many interesting shops which includes Gostiny Dvor and Pa age along Nevsky Prospect as well as good restaurants and nightlife.
