It combines the best of the old with up to date cooking, relaxing beds and is a good place for some peace and quiet. From the end of June onwards we will be able to offer visitors the opportunity of staying in the Celtic 'Stone Age' type hut which is located on the Fort -this experience will be only offered for one night only per visitor. Enjoy looking at and feeding the horses and ponies. Observe the honey bees as they buzz to and fro from their hives (from a safe distance, of course). Dig some potters clay from the streams on the farm and try your hand at moulding some pots or other artifacts. A great way to unwind ! You might like to visit a real Irish traditional sing along pub. Well no problem here, have a go at playing the tin whistle or bodhran; you'll find the locals both welcoming and encouraging. For lovers of ballroom dancing there are various venues. If you like lakes, well we're only about 35 few minutes near car from Lough Derg, the largest lake in the Irish Republic. tennis there are two fantastic tarmac courts in the local village Golf Play on the 18-hole championship in Thurles or the 18 hole course in Templemore Fishing - The River Suir offers trout and salmon fishing. Templemore Lake is famous for its large pike and other coarse fish. Equestrian Tipperary is great hunting country, and if you havent tried riding before, there is expert tuition offered locally.
