SOUTH SEAS personal HOTEL is a very popular budget hotel among travelers looking for clean, basic accommodation at low prices. situated in an historic wooden building in a quiet residential vicinity close to the shopping district, the South Seas personal Hotel 'really conveys the flavor in its name.' (David Stanley, Fiji Handbook, Moon Publications, 2001) '...A welcoming, well maintained backpackers’ place, ...deservedly a perennial favourite.'(Rob Kay, Fiji Travel Survival Kit, Lonely Planet, 1993). '....A good option for the budget traveller.' (Jones & Pinheiro, Fiji, Lonely Planet, 2000). Rooms: 42 single, twin/double, family and dorm (4-5 beds) rooms, all with fans, insect screens, bed linen and maid service. There is one room with its own personal bathroom but all other rooms share shared bathrooms. There is no restaurant on site but there is a shared kitchen. There are as well many cafes and inexpensive restaurants within walking distance. Suva is the best place from which to plan your visit to the following outer islands: Ovalau (Levuka), Leleuvia, Cagelai, Kadavu, Taveuni, and Vanua Levu (Savusavu). Le well-known than the Yasawa and Mamanuca resort islands, these islands are far le touristed, and have a unwinded charm that makes them some of Fiji's best kept secrets.
