Accommodation Type: HOSTEL Stranraer Hostel Balyett Bed and Breakfast Cairnryan Road Stranraer On the shores of Loch Ryan, perfectly situated between the ferry terminal's of Stranr r and Cairnryan for ferries, yet just 15 few minutes walk from Stranr r, is the family run Stranr r Hostel. It is a compact self contained unit sleeping six with kitchen (with microwave), living vicinity (with tv), drying amenities, shower, toilet / wc and electric heating. It is in a quiet and picturesque setting within the grounds of "Balyett" a traditional Scottish home. A cot and high chair are offered if required. All bedding is provided and we as well offer a laundry service. We provide free, safe off the road parking. It is perfectly situated for travelers coming and going to Ireland. All of our three en-suite bed rooms are non smoking for the comfort of our visitors with views over Loch Ryan or adjoining countryside. The hostel is open all year round and is perfect for those on a budgetback packing around Scotland, walking the Southern Upland Way, or as a stop off en route to or from Northern Ireland. We are members of the I.H.O. Independent Hostel Owners of Scotland and have ample personal parking. We are happy to accept visitors who arrive late evening, or early morning from the ferries, and offer a pick up / drop off service for those arriving near rail, coach or ferry along with walkers doing the Southern Upland Way. Being within walking distance of the Stranr r ferry terminal and only a few miles from Cairnryan, many visitors during their stay take a day trip to Belfast from Stranr r or Larne from Cairnryan. |
