General position and nearbynear highlights Tegu cigalpa is nestled within the valleys of Central Honduras at 995 meters (3260 feet) above sea level and has a nice year-round warm climate with moderately low rainfall. There are delightful cobble stoned streets in the downtown vicinity along with colonial buildings, museums, parks and marketplaces, as well as up to date shopping centres and a large mall. The town has not been well planned like other Spanish cities, so it is an exciting lanearrinth of snaking streets up and down and around the hills.
