Our position nearby the new Outrigger Reef Resort gives the budget traveller the option of either a quiet unwinding holiday or acce to a wide range of things to do nearbynear. Recommended in both the Fiji Handbook (2004) and the Lonely Planet Fiji guide (2003). '... Tubakula is a quiet, do-your own-thing kind of a place.... Seated on your terrace watching the sky turn orange and purple behind the black silhouettes of the palms along the beach / sea, a bucket of cold Fiji Bitter stubbies close at hand, you’d swear this is bliss! One of the most popular backpacker resorts in Fiji and well worth a couple of nights' (David Stanley, Fiji Handbook, Moon Publications, 2004) Tubakula is not just for Backpackers .. it’s for anyone wanting to unwind and unwind — families, couples and singles of all ages will feel equally welcome in this quiet and unhurried beach / sea front setting. PLEASE NOTE: Tubakula is a not a 'party scene' property and we don't offer much in the way of organised 'fun'; travelers looking to 'party on' will probably find us a little too quiet and laidback. BUNGALOWS: 27 bungalows, simply furnished but with all that you need: kitchens (2-burner gas cooker, fridge, utensils and crockery), bathrooms with hot/cold water, downstairs bedroom (sleeps 2), extra beds upstairs, ceiling fans, insect screens, linens and maid service. (NOTE: The personal Bungalows offered through this website are OCEANVIEW. These bungalows are 1 row back from the beach / sea with partial beach / sea and ocean views. Absolute beach / seafront bungalows can be booked near contacting property directly). Please be aware that personal bungalows, once booked, cannot be downgraded to dorm or share accommodation; requests for such changes will be treated as cancellations and new reservations, and deposits will be forfeited. ROOMS: A few single and double/twin rooms with shared bathroom and kitchen amenities are offered for those not requiring an entire bungalow. DORM: The beach / sea club offers 8 dorm rooms (4-5 beds each) with a shared kitchen and shared bathrooms. **Note: Dorm accommodations are not suitable for babies or children; we have other great accommodation offered for families. things to do: There are lots of things to do offered in the Coral coastal vicinity, which includes: Bushwalking, Local marketplaces (fresh fruit/veg), Surfing, Canoeing/rafting, Fire walking/Fijian feasts, Sand dunes, Cultural tours, Snorkelling, Eco tours, and a Waterfall trip. It is approximately 1 hour near car from Nadi to Tubakula and 2.5 hours near car from Suva to Tubakula. Buses and airconditioned coaches will stop at our front gate if requested. Getting here from Nadi International Airport (all prices approximate):near Bus, hailed on Nadi highway, to hotel: (daylight hours only) approx F$10.00-F$15.00 per person near Taxi from Nadi Airport to hotel: around F$60.00 per taxi (AIRPORT PICKUP near coach can be organised for any flight for F$27 per person one way--hostel will send you details after reservation should you wish this arrange this service. Transfer price is increasing from April 1, 2005 to F$29 per person. Transfer service is provided near an independent transport operator, Coral Sun.) CHECK-IN TIME: Is 3 pm on day of arrival. Earlier check in of 12 noon may be po ible if there is availability. If you are arriving on an early morning flight and would like to check is as soon as you arrive, you will need to book from the night before. amenities: Sandy white beach / sea, Snorkel rent, Volleyball, Swimming pool, Mini marketplace(food/liquor), Tours organised, roomy grounds, Foreign exchange. MEALS: We offer simple, home-style meals in our main building (average prices from F$5-F$10). In addition, all bungalows have kitchens and all other rooms share shared kitchens. A selection of cafes, takeaways and restaurants are a short stroll away. IMPORTANT: a) reservations for personal BUNGALOWS MAY NOT BE DOWNGRADED to dorm or share accommodation once the reservation has been made and deposit paid; requests for changes from Bungalows to Dorms will be treated as cancellations and subsequent new reservation, and any deposit paid will be forfeited. b) Requests for UPGRADES from dorm/share accom to personal bungalows may however be made without penalty, provided space is offered. c) Deposits are applied on a pro rata per person basis (spread acro the length of stay booked); early check-outs will not receive credits or refunds for unused accommodation.
