Portland is for sure the greenest and most striking part of Jamaica. The cottages are situated right on the beach / sea, in a for Jamaica characteristic nearbys. Each cottage is built in African style, with a thatch roof. Each cottage has a big veranda, where you can enjoy the falling stars in the evening and if you wake up early, the striking sunrise. A hammock is offered (for hire). If you’re feeling romantic, you can make a fire in front of your cottage. Each cottage has a personal bathroom and a big double bed. On request there is a bed offered for a third person. There is as well the po ibility of rafting, biking, snorkeling and diving. The Blue Mountains is worth a visit, and is fantastic for biking. nearbynear 'Yahimba' you will find some striking waterfalls where you can take a dip in the clear water, so don't forget your swimsuite. 'Yahimba' is located about 1.5 hours from Kingston International Airport (transportation can be organised near us). Port Antonio is about 25 few minutes drive from the 'Yahimba' cottages. Jamaican restaurants in the nearbys can provide you with good, not too expensive food. Little supermarketplaces are close near, where you can buy all kind of nece ary things. Only a little distance (library) an web access café is offered. If you want to try some Rasta food, on request Rickey can prepare you a ideal meal. Rickey takes care of 'Yahimba' and his quests when I am not in Jamaica. He is constantly willing to help you.
