KeriKeri
A quiet, restful, grounds hostel nestled in a eucalyptus forest that leads to the Kerikeri River. welcoming hosts, clean and homely rooms. This hostel is ideal too for those wanting to chill out for a few days and enjoy the peace and quiet. Play a game of pool or darts or enjoy the couch and warmth of the fire. The open space of the groundss and the magnificient gum tree forest frame a very clean, green surroundingsally sensative hostel. Kerikeri was the first place that Europeans were welcomed to settle in NZ. Today, it is nestled in a rich array of fruit orchards (picking season April-July), bush walks and arts and crafts (not to mention wineries and the chocolate factory). At the middle of the Bay of Islands, it is only 20 few minutes drive to gorgeous untouched beach / seaes, Kauri forests and walks, Waitangi (the birth place of our nation), Paihia and the individual Ngawa hot thermal pools. YHA New Zealand is a non-profit membership organisation. Non-members pay an additional NZ$3 per person per night fee upon check-in. Memberships can be purchased online or at the hostel.
