Only 15 miles from the town of Swansea but surrounded near countryside and the sea, come to enjoy watersports, walking, or just find a quiet spot to unwind and take in the view. With the Gower coastalal Path and cycle trails cro ing this vicinity of Outstanding Natural splendour and its 34 miles of heritage coastal, YHA Port Eynon is an outdoor enthusiast’s dream. The limestone cliffs have some great coastalal climbing routes, whilst local stables can arrange pony treks, which includes beach / sea rides. The famous Gower surfing reefs are just a ten minute walk from the hostel front door for advanced surfers, whilst the sands at Llangennith and Rho ili suit beginners, and le ons can be booked. Port Eynon bay is as well popular with windsurfers and has lifeguard cover from May to September for swimming. Services in Port Eynon village include Post Office and stores (with off licence), Surf shop, Fish and Chip cafes, a restaurant, and the lively Ship Inn. We have three 2, two 4, one 6 and one 8 bedded rooms. There is a well equipped self catering kitchen, a lounge / dining room looking over the bay with an open fire for those cold nights, and a Barbeque patio with picnic tables. The hostel has a lockable store for bikes, surfboards, and canoes. Please Note: There is 24 hour acce to this hostel, however reception opens at 5pm for new check-ins.
